From the people who know ROJO*
In 2015, Tucson was officially designated a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. It was the first city in the United States to receive this honor, recognizing the region's deep-rooted agricultural history and diverse cultural culinary traditions. A classic dish celebrating southwestern culinary traditions that you will find in most Mexican restaurants around town is Arroz rojo, a traditional Mexican red rice dish cooked with tomatoes, garlic, and onions. If you’re a fan of the classics, meet handsome young German Shepherd mix Rojo! Here’s what some of his friends at the shelter have said:
“I took Rojo out to a yard with another volunteer and he was super easy to leash and walk from the kennel to the yard. He was very easygoing and seemingly excited to be leashed up to go out with me.”
“Rojo was an easy walker who enjoyed following his nose and exploring! He was able to sit on command. Smartie!”
Rojo would like to meet any resident dogs before going home. He’s a young boy at just about a year old and is ready to spend his life with a devoted family, bringing the perfect puppy excitement and vibrance with him. Come meet him today!
